Magnetic Particle Testing
Magnetic Particle Testing
The Magnetic Particle Test is an effective method for the determination of surface and subsurface defects on ferromagnetic materials. The surfaces on which the application will be made must be free from oil, rust and dirt. The main principle of the method is by means of application of magnetic field externally or applying electric current through the material which in turn produces magnetic flux in the material. Simultaneously, visible ferrous particles are sprayed on the test material. Defects in the material creates distortion in the magnetic flux which causes leakage of the magnetic fields around the defect. The magnetic particles are pulled by the surface field in the area of the defect and points out the location of the defect. The results is fast and immediate.
In this regard, we provide service with our level 2 and level 3 experts according to EN 9712 and ASNT TC 1A.
Magnetic Particle Test is carried out under Türkak ISO/IEC 17020 accreditation according to EN, ASME, AWS, API standards.
